TD

What is TD?

TD is a potential long-term side effect of antipsychotic medications that causes the body to make sudden, uncontrollable movements, usually in the face1

In 2016, TD was estimated to affect 573,000 people in the US2

In other words, this represents 9% of people taking antipsychotic medication*2

*Data based on a disease burden model

Impact

TD can have a devastating impact on the way a person's body functions, their mental
well-being and how they interact with other people
3 out of 4 people with TD say that it severely impacts them physically, psychologically and socially3
However, the extent of the impact and the progression of disease is poorly understood3,4

We are committed to changing this, and we need your help
